7th DAY: TEMPLE VISIT
Since Maya hadn't gone to Lukang with me, she missed seeing that wonderful temple. I thought that we should make suee to go visit a temple; we went this evening to see the Xing Tian Gong temple or palace. It's only a 6 minute taxi ride from the hotel (NT$120 or $3.40)
It turned out to be a fairly large and wonderful structure.
Another view of the temple
It had several dragons and phoenixes on the roof, here is a dragon image
And a phoenix, unfortunatelywe came at night so the image is not too clear, but you can use your imagiantion
To the side there was this small entrance
And some writing carved in the stone wall
A llot of people were reading from some books, the area where they are sested was roped off, I don't know why or what.
There were two or three priests blessing people using incense, quite a few people were waiting in line.
This is a view of themain altar, seen behind a glass window
A pruest praying in front of the altar
On the side ofthe temple there was a fishpond with the biggest goldfish I've ever seen. They are ovviously well fed.

Safe trip home. Thanks so much for sharing.
